I’m passionate about evoking emotion through storytelling. No matter what format.

Obsessed with music, light and color, I bring a multi-disciplinary approach to editing through a unique blend of art direction, design and illustration.

I’ve worked in advertising for over 26 years and have been recognized by The One Show, Graphis, and Communication Arts, among others. I graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in illustration, studied and practiced music for over 10 years, played the French Horn and toured internationally with an orchestra. I’ve also designed sets and have consulted with a focus on interior design.

Simply put: being creative is in my DNA.

Whether she’s designing, photographing, illustrating or editing video, Jane brings every task her own thoughtful perspective, inspired by years of studying color, light and classical music. Her job, as she sees it, is simple–to evoke emotion through storytelling, using every genre in her quiver.

Regardless of what it takes, I bring a multi-disciplinary approach to creative through a unique blend of art direction, design, editing, illustration and retouching. Because at the end of the day, creative has got to get the job done.

Capturing people’s attention. There are so many ways to tell a story. When everything works together, it's amazing how powerful video content can be. The right footage with unexpected cuts, transitions, music and effects paired with exactly the perfect voice and story-line has remarkable staying power. Sometimes a really good rip-o-matic helps present a concept and gets it sold.

Shape, color, grids, rhythm, drama, impact. Great design is a good way to make someone sit up and take notice. It also helps navigate the audience through an experience. It has a personality that needs to ring true to its brand. It's got to have appetite appeal. And ultimately, it should help pave the way to creating desire and changing behavior.

Before and after. A picture is worth a thousand words. And there's no better way to see what was done to arrive at these final images. Simply click on the arrow on the right of each image to preview where it all began.

It's all about the light. Light defines what we see. When it's simple and clean, it helps us to see beauty in a profound way. Yup, the right composition really makes a difference. Beautiful objects do too. But in the end, it's all about the light.

Bringing a concept to life. Illustration provides the opportunity to create what doesn't exist and can't be photographed. When it's done well, it can add a dimension that captures the viewer's imagination and brings them into the artwork in a different kind of way.
